Scholarships Available for SCSUG 2016!
If you’re a college student using SAS or a faculty member teaching with SAS you may be able to offset the costs of attending the South Central SAS Users Group Educational Forum through one of our academic scholarships. You may apply for one of the Academic Scholarship programs below starting Monday, August 29, 2016. Deadline to apply for Scholarship programs is Monday, September 12, 2016.
Attending SCSUG 2016 is a great way to:
- Network with other SAS users
- Expand your SAS knowledge, regardless of your skill level
- Learn how organizations in a variety of industries use SAS
SCSUG Student Scholarship Program 2016
The program supports full- and part-time college students using SAS in their coursework or research. It’s a great opportunity to network with current SAS professional and learn about different SAS career fields. Scholarship includes waived forum registration fees and may provide for hotel accommodations and/or a travel stipend.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a full or part-time college level student using SAS in coursework or on the job
- Must be able to provide a professor's name and contact information as a reference and alternate contact (if this information is left off the application, the application will not be considered)
- Must be enrolled in classes at the time of the forum (Fall 2016)
- Must be able to provide a valid student ID or proof of enrollment

- Deadline to apply is Monday, September 12, 2016
- Notifications will be sent via e-mail by Friday, September 16, 2016
- Confirmation of acceptance deadline is Wednesday, September 21, 2016
Please note that student scholarship winners may be asked to volunteer at the forum as part of the award.

SCSUG Faculty Scholarship Program 2016
The Faculty Scholarship Program supports faculty members who teach in an accredited degree-granting program and use SAS for research or teaching. Scholarship will include waived forum registration fees and may provide for hotel accommodations and/or travel stipend.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a faculty member (full-time or adjunct) at a degree granting institution
- Currently be teaching or advising students using SAS, or plan to use SAS in the upcoming semester within the 2016-2017 school year.

- Notification will be sent via e-mail by Friday, September 16, 2016
- Confirmation of acceptance deadline is Wednesday, September 21, 2016
